 How about a ride board
I would like to find a private ride board for seeking and providing rides to/fro the mountains.

Is there a simple way to do that here? Maybe just a single thread.

Hard to tell without the nice [spam alert] warnings they give us in their posts now! :D Aweful considerate of them, otherwise I'd definitely be clicking on all the mystery links. I mean, really, what could possibly go wrong?!

If they register in the middle of the night, don't add a location, talk in quotes from other posts and dig up an old thread, usually I go with my hunch that it's spam. :D This stuff is out of control here lately for some reason.

I know this turned into a spam discussion, but I like Billski's suggestion of a ride board.

Not a bad idea really, and many of the regulars here have met already, but unless you're hiking together someone is going to be waiting around either for a ride to arrive or the people they're picking up to fnish up their hike. Not sure it would ever work out in the real world.
