Post Your Favorite PhotoS from 2012 :)
You've posted the best, now post the rest!! Or some of them at least. I had trouble picking out my favorite one for the other thread, now I've had more trouble picking out the top ten runner's up but I whittled them down one by one from about 25 finalists to half of that and here's a few of my favorite also rans.

I know many people around here have lots of great shots and I'd love to see more from everyones hikes and travels so post more if you have the time and desire.

My very favorite

Do you want "best" or "favorite"? I put my kids in the other thread because it was my favorite, but it wouldn't make a calendar editor's cut from a New England alpine landscape perspective ...

Ill say favorite, not just "best" hiking/travel photos. I think some of mine favorites are not necesarily the best, but are favorites because I remember the moment or trip they are from. Might not all be in the top 10 in terms of composition, subject matter, exposure etc.

I know what you mean about the family ones being at the top of the favorites list, but ill keep those out of it, unless anyone wants to include some. I don't want this to be my thread or really have any rules, I just happened to steal Grindboys idea and start it. :D

That guy is on the Air Line trail on St. Pattys Day. I was on Valley Way taking pictures of the undercast when he climbed up. If anyone was there about 10 am wearing a blue shirt and looks like a green Castro type of hat, at least it looks like it from other closer up pictures, that could be you.

You guys are monsters. Some really amazing stuff on here. I don't even want to Johnny-snapshot the thread up, but as GG participated in "my" thread, I'll return the "favor." Not that I don't think these are any good, I like 'em a lot! But you guys are out of this world. Thank you so much for posting!

A year ago, my wife was in what I call "couch shape." She would have barely made it up Mt Major. So it really WAS special when she worked herself into great shape and was able to join me on a fantastic day on Franconia Ridge. So proud of her!

(On Little Haystack)

This was from my first hike of the year.

(Lafayette/Franconia Notch from Bald Mtn)

I found this spot and shot magically captivating.

(Carrigain and Carrigain Notch from South Twin)

A day on the Northern Presi's that was in and out of the clouds made some cool shots.

I forgot my camera on the hike closest to peak foliage, so these were the best I got.

Just found this one unusually attractive.

There are some amazing pictures here folks.

Joes as always are great. The ones with snow in them particularly impress me in what a range of exposure they capture. That one with the snow covered branches should have been on the MWOBS photo journal too.

Lal12 those are great pics. I love the undercast one, especially since I know was up there across the street from you that day.

And Grindboy....you've been holding out on us!! Those are some great shots! You should post more of them and more often. That one of Franconia Notch is stunning. Bald Mountain?? Where ever it was taken it rocks.

Keep 'em coming!

Words of wisdom. Don't forget the nicer camera at home. There were a bunch that would have come out a lot better. My cellphone/PnS is serviceable in a pinch, but no comparison to a DSLR.
