Rumor has it I snuck out of the JustJoe/New Hampshire hike today to hike by myself, and a TR would appear from me. Scandelous accusations, I say! Oh, they'll tell you they were just having a joke at my expense, but being the serious people that they are, we all know they're incapable of such foolery.

Well, (sigh...) it's true. I used the old favorite excuse of a cold to sneak out. Today I took a hike on the Woodpile Path (distance 0.01 miles, with a 6 inch elevation gain) to Mt. Woodpile, or The Pile, as I affectionately call it. The Pile itself stands at an elevation of 554 feet, but alas, I couldn't climb the last 4 feet due to unstable conditions. The mountain's eroded quite a bit since November, but it does have a strange habit of rebuilding to its former glory every fall.

I took many a souveneir from the mountain, and brought them back to my house. Alas, ashamed of my pilfering, I decided to burn the evidence lest I be caught.

(sorry guys, but I had to complete the joke Very Happy )

Laughing You're on to me. I did summit Mt. Roof before the rain set it, but I've been banned from Mt. Laundry. Something about my style in attacking it. I can at least lay claim to Dishes Hill several times. Once the snow melts, there's Mt. Dog Poo, which I consider to be on par with Waumbek on so many levels.

Don't forget Mt. Trash. I heard that's a pain when it's windy.
