Greg and I are going to kick off winter on December 22nd by heading up Owl's Head, one of the last two Greg needs to polish off his W48. Be happy to have company if you need it too. Brian

I have tried coaxing Bob into going as he needs it for his W48. Alas he has refused. I may try blackmail next. He does not know about those "special" pics I took of him that one time at Fool Scout Ball......

Hey!!!!!! I just realized that the 22nd is a Thursday, which is my day off! And a couple days before Christmas it is usually starting to slow down at the good ol' post office window. If my son wasn't visiting, I'd seriously consider it! HA HA HA!

A Thursday huh? I usually hike on Thursdays anyhow. It's close to Christmas so I may be running around doing last minute stuff but if I can hike that day I'll go.

If it helps I will gladly play tail-end Charlie so no one but me feels like the slow poke slacker. Seriously though, I have hiked with some of the fast and slowest people you will ever meet over these years. I was a snail once myself. So taking things leisurely has never been a problem for me. And if you spend enough time with me on trail you realize very little fazes me.

I never rush through a hike or leave people behind either. I'm have headlamps and am happy to go at the pace of the slowest hiker too, which may be me. All these holiday feasts and parties have added more than a couple pounds to me.

No way I can get the 22nd off. But like I told you on our last hike, no way can I keep up with Z-Idiot.

Kathy wrote: HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYY!!!!! I resemble that remark!! Don't worry, I imagine I'll be acting like a fool too much to speed my way around the woods. Besides, I don't think Greg is as fast as Joe thinks he is these days. That or Joe is underrating his abilities. Or more likely I am just dumm.

Just a quick thread bump: As it stands right now we are still a "go". Looks like it is going to be snowshoe conditions, but good news is all water crossings may have snow bridges. Fun times are coming.
