From AT trailhead on Rte 25 just W of Glencliff. Easy parking set aside. See photos below. Rather uneventful, fairly easy walk with modest vertical to the pond. Well maintained. traversed the shoreline via a browse path, met a group of locals who camped overnight. A number of informal, but nice camp settings on the shore. The locals get here via a FWD road from the S. The trail to Webster is pretty straight forward, gets rather steep for a short section. Not a lot of hikers, still plenty of fall leaves on the trail. The summit is wooded (pic) but carry on a bit further for a ledgy outcropping - be careful. falcons like the cliffs in this region. It had rained earlier so the clouds were still quite heavy.
Lots of blowdown on webster peak.

A nice fairly easy hike for those seeking tranquility with a moderate amount of effort.

Yes, the pond is visible as are views to the SW. You have to walk around to find outcroppings, pretty easy. No views W. that is about it. N. toward Blueberry is hardly visible.

Warren: Calamity Jane is to R. of Town Hall

I drive by that rocket every time I go to the Whites. I've read that that section is a really nice hike. I'll have to get there some day. Thanks for sharing a place not too travelled.
