 Trip Report: Mt Tecumseh! 10.22.06
Another mini t.r. to read:
Sunday, BrowMaster met us at the Tripoli (pronounced triple eye) Road, Mt Tecumseh trailhead and chatted with us as Catherine, Diane, Linda, Julie, Bob, Peter, Glen, Ghostdog and I prepared to gear up for a visit to this great mountain. The snow line began at 1300' that added to the ambience of this beautiful forest. We arrived on the summit of Tecumseh (4003'), feasted on our lunches, saw stunning views, and counted a total of 24 hikers that came and went. Remarkable, I thought for a Sunday afternoon. We stopped on the descent to visit for a while when 6 other hikers met up with us on the trail. No wind, warm day, lots of snow (up to 4" in depth), some ice, and grand views on the trails now with the leaves gone. A super, grand hike with our wonderful group, many completing their first 4000 Footer, great fellowship, and were welcomed to their first winter wonderland!
