We try not to be overly restrictive on our site, we obviously keep an open, humor-based, anything goes type of attitude, but we want to make sure people are comfortable on our site. So here are a few rules;

1. No Flaming. If you're not sure what flaming is, look it up on Google. Anyone flaming others may be blocked from posting.

2. Keep anything sales-related to the Buy/Sell forum. We'd like to help people out, but don't want this forum to be one large ad.

3. Anyone abusing the board may be blocked from posting. This is at our discretion, but rest assured we won't be doing this too much.

4. Try to keep posts on-topic. It's tough to read a thread that starts talking about hiking the 4,000 footers and moves through a boot discussion, then to LNT, and over to a good place to eat after hiking.

5. We reserve the right to delete ANY thread for ANY reason. This was also covered when you signed up in the terms and conditions of using this message board. Again, this is not likely, we're just covering ourselves.

6. Hike-NH.com cannot be held responsible for the accuracy, sensibility, or intelligence of what is posted here. This is an open forum, so anyone is free to ask for and/or give advice on any topic. If you do something stupid based on something you read here, you're on your own. You are HIGHLY encouraged to verify any advice you receive here with a qualified professional (like a Forest Service member). Remember, free advice is worth every penny you pay for it.

7. Finally, USE the board! If you register and don't post, then it just looks like you're a registration bot. In fact, if you register for this forum, add your web site in your profile and never post, we will delete you. Sorry, but we're not in the business of promoting people who aren't participating here. Most often this won't affect anyone who is really interested in hiking, just those morons who want to sell something.
