It's still pretty slow and three times in the last week I have been logged out despite checking the "keep me logged in" box. Here's some timing for viewing the latest post in this thread:

302 - viewtopic.php?t=7513&view=newest - 22913 ms
200 - viewtopic.php?p=76728#76728 - 184 ms

I am guessing that the problem lies with MySQL and contention for resource(s) on that server. I am guessing you are sharing it with other tenants and one of them beats the snot out of it during the early part of our EST day.

Tim

After I replied last night, the site slowed down again, and is glacial this morning. As Tim mentions, it appears the database calls are really taking a long time, almost to the point of timing out.

Yeah, I've noticed that this morning as well. I'm opening another ticket with my host about it. Will post when they've taken action.

I'm hoping people can get to the site to see this message, things are so slow I timed out several times trying to post this.

The problem is related to the web server getting hung, and my host is going to move us to another server to try to resolve the problem.

Thanks for your continued patience, I'm as frustrated by this as you are.

Chris

We seem to be working faster again, hopefully this time we'll stay fixed. I'll keep an eye on this.

Thank you, Chris! The site seems quicker from my rig (dunno about anyone else's), so that's great! I've known about this site since at least 2010 (joined in 2011) and have visited it just about every day since then.
