As frustrating as it is (and it probably is one cause of less participation), I think another reason there is less going on is simply because we are in shoulder season. I recall last year around this time there was a discussion about this (low involvement, not web issues), but I think it was on VFTT, not here.

That said, I can understand folks' impatience and frustration. I hope that something can be resolved, this is my favorite website (I am not BSing!). Where else are you going to find this much variety? And so much for all the different levels of abilites, etc?

Please, Chris and Rob, I hope you can fix this! I'll miss everyone if something should happen to this place! Like Keyz, I am willing to pay a little each month. I feel like the folks who donate to Public TV and Public Radio. It's worth it.

I'd say it's a bad thing. This folks on this site had good representation on FOT 48. The community is small but represented in the community at large. The regulars will brave this storm. Tack into the wind folks. There is plenty of winter hiking ahead of us. The best time of year. I still see some reports coming in I'm poised for an exciting Friday myself. AMTTLOP that want to see this keep going.

"PLEASE FIX THIS BOARD"!

It's soooooo slowwww, or I keep getting an error page.

Ask for donations to fix things...I'll pitch in.

I love this board, but it's so frustrating. And it's obvious a lot of people are not on like it used to be. I'm sure a lot of us will pitch in with some $$$ to make this place work the way it should....."PLEASE".

Well, both a moderator and a long time cornerstone of the place have PM'd about it. If they don't have anything good to report I'd say, unfortunately, they just don't care anymore. Hope I'm wrong.

Hey all,

Sorry for the frustrations you've all been feeling, I definitely have been struggling to find the source of the slowness. As some of you have mentioned, I've also been trying to get the whole site updated, and that's also been an exercise in frustration. I'm working with my web host now to find the problem and will have it fixed as soon as possible. I'm also still exploring ways to get the forums updated, it's much more complex than it was when I started this site.

Thank you for your continued dedication to hike-nh.com!

Chris

Hi guys,

My host has taken a look at the site and has made some adjustments. I think it's moving a lot faster now, but please respond back if you're still seeing slowness.

Thanks,
Chris

My pleasure guys, sorry it wasn't addressed sooner.

I'm still interested to see if anyone is still experiencing problems, so let me know if you are.

Thanks again,
Chris

Thanks, Chris. It's moving along now, but evenings have usually been pretty good. I've been experiencing the slowness more in the mornings.
