Howdy forum faithfuls! As many of you have seen, I'm in the process of working on a new web site design with a local company (who are WAY better at this stuff than I am). Here's where I need help: I need to get a bunch of scenic and representative photos of the Whites to include as part of the site design. What are the best, most beautiful and scenic spots in the Whites? Post your choice below (include a sample if you have one), and I'll be hiking them this Spring/Summer! Come Winter, I may do the same again, to have Winter photos for the Winter months.

Thanks in advance!
Chris

Nice, looking forward to seeing the new design. Hmm, so we get to pick where you're going to hike this summer? There's a nice spot about 3/4 way up the Huntington Ravine Trail, Scar Ridge would be a good one

Seriously, here are a few for starters. Franconia Ridge looking south from Lafayette:

This photos shared in this thread would be a good start to making a summer list of most attractive places to hike ...

Thinking of photos that must be emblematic since everyone seems to capture the same perspective:

-Washington from Monroe
-Chocorua over Chocorua Lake
-Bondcliff from Mt. Bond (and also from West Bond)
-Franconia Ridge from Lonesome Lake and the lookout on N. Twin

This is from just south of Ike but anything south of washington along the Crawford path is amazing.

Great photos, Peter. I especially like the panorama of Franconia Notch.

I'll see if I can find a few more later too.

Off hand I'd say a dozen or so quintessential spots in the Whites would include most of these

- Lake Chocorua
- Franconia Notch from Cannon or Kinsmans
- Lonesome Lake
- Franconia Ridge from somewhere near Lafayette
- Bondcliff's cliff
- Siganal Ridge
- Zeacliff
- Crawford Notch from Willard or Avalon
- View of Presis from Jackson or some southern Presi
- Tuckerman Ravine
- Washington from Wildcat
- Great Gulf & Northern Presis

Now, who's got some pictures of them??

These are awesome ideas guys! If any of you are interested in having your photos included in the new design, let me know. You're clearly proud of your photos and deservedly so.

Any other ideas out there? One of my favorites has always been on Webster near the slide. And off Cabot, not quite at the summit, near the hut up there.
