Any chance you can add on the phpBB RSS module?

That would make it easier for TrailsNH to follow the Hike-NH Trip Report forum.

Thanks.

Sure Kimball, I can do that. Actually, I'm working with a design company right now to completely overhaul Hike-NH.com since it's pretty out of date at this point, so it may make sense to wait until then, but I'll take a look.

Thanks,
Chris

One comment on that redesign:
I spend more time here than on VFTT because this site is easier to navigate. VFTT has a TON of info, and can be very intimidating. I hope you aim to keep the community-like spirit of Hike-NH. I'm particularly fond of this group of folks, and the format.

But thanks for what you're doing; I think web-design is a PITA... so I admire anyone who can stick with it enough to make a living.

Agreed. I really enjoy this site and this group. The page is super easy to navigate. I look forward to reading trip reports over my morning coffee- something I couldn't possibly stomach on a dressed-up, fancy site.

But, yes, thank you for managing this site, either way.

LOL, thanks! I will, of course, strive to keep the community feeling of the site, I think that's what makes this such a great place for hiking information. I've learned a ton from the people on this forum, so if anything I'm going to try to enhance that character and keep it very simple and straightforward. Thanks for the excellent feedback!

Regardless of the format - I believe the "community-like spirit" will remain here at Hike-NH. Have no fear. Since I've been here there have been a few oddities but the greater percentage of info, queries and posts are legit and most importantly, down to earth. We will keep on keepin' on.

 Trip Report Map
Thanks Chris.

Thinking about your new site design, TrailsNH has a Map of Hike-NH TRs you can integrate if you like. The map make it easy to find a TR by location/region. This TR map feature is very fast and can be any size you want. Details on how to set it up are here: http://trailsnh.com/Map-Widget.php

Examples of the TR Map in use:
- http://www.vftt.org/forums/forum.php (bottom of page)
- http://4000-footers.blogspot.com/ (top left)
- http://dmoutdoors.blogspot.com/ (bottom right)

Just another option for ya.
