 Problem with Search function
If I use either the Search button at the top of page, or the Google search box in the left column, I get a message :

We're sorry...

... but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now.

Just me?

I have the impression this started around the time the site was going thru some upgrades, but that may be my imagination ....

I usually exit the site and search using google.com, so not a big issue....

Seemed to work for me just now. However, the last post I read before trying it was your comment about duck duck (what the heck is that??), I searched for keyword dogs, and the first hit was labeled bears. :)

I only use the 'search' link that's just above the 'You have no new message' and next to the 'FAQ' link, and it's working fine for me now.

http://duckduckgo.com/

a search engine that doesnt seem to keep quite as close tabs on what I've been up to :)

google tracks an enormous amount of information about you.

duckduck supposedly does not.

Wow, I'm going to have to start using the site. You are right about Google. They have been known to implant pcoesses on machines the searches are launched from, which send back sites visited, programs executed, and even keystrokes.

And to clarify, my search was from the link Bob spoke of. Not the button on the very top. Using the button, I do indeed get the missing index message.
