I know how to post images in the forum using my old Webshots account...but does anyone how to do it with Picasa? I was on the Picasa site and just couldn't find a way to do it.

Thanks

Bob,

If you are signed in, then there is a link generator on the right side, mid way down - "Link to this photo". You don't get the BBS link style generator you get with Webshots. Instead, I chose the size and "image only" and then manually add the [img] tags.

See this thread on VFTT for more.

Bob, go to your Picasa web-albums. Open an album and click on any photo. Beside it you see, "link to this photo", click on that. Another drop down menu will appear. Choose "embed image". Choose the size, then copy and paste.

Thanks guys. Joe, I had an email discussion with Tim about this. The confusion was that the Gmail address I'm now using (and signed in as) is not the owner of the album I'm looking at. If you see my signature line with a link to my Picasa album, it's a long number instead of the Gmail address I now use. So even though I was logged in under my current Gmail account, that account wasn't the owner of that Picasa album...so the 'Link to this photo' link wouldn't appear.

If you are using firefox, you can open the picture, right-click on the picture, and select 'copy image location'

Then open an [img]tag%20,%20paste%20the%20url%20then%20a%20close%20tag[/img]

I think every browser can do that, from anyone's account.

Bob, some image hosting accounts won't let you do it, tough most wiil, but in a pinch if you put the mouse over the picture, right click and select "Properties" the info box will come up with the image URL that you can copy and paste to wherever you want.
