 Saturday Day Hike
Hello, so I had an earlier post on here asking about Hermit Lake shelter as my daughter and I were going to do Mt. Washington as an overnight backpack. However, weather forecast is looking awful for late Saturday night and all day Sunday and I don't want her 1st trip to be in the rain as well as I think the smart thing is to hold off for another time with a better forecast . That being said, we will be staying in Interval, NH, what are some great day hike suggestions for the Presidentials? I'm thinking Eisenhower and Edmands Path would be moderate and under 7 miles round trip and give us the most bang for your buck in terms of scenery and being above treeline and not too demanding.

Yes. That's a good one. OR you could double up and combine Eisenhower with Pierce for a two-fer with some ridge walking that provides excellent views.
OR do a two-fer up and over Jackson, continue on to and past Mitzpah Hut to Pierce summit, down Crawford Path.
That brings you about a half mile from your trailhead so no need for a car spot. Eisenhower and Pierce are about 2 miles apart at the trailheads IIRC
so either you spot a car/bike, road walk (ugh) or bum a ride.

I know you said the Presidentials, but Kearsage North is close to where you are staying. A lot of great views, and a wonderful enclosed tower on top.

Well, we made it safely to Interval and I appreciate the recommendations. Both suggestions look good, looking at the maps now, lol.

Thanks again.
