Hi guys! I'm new here. :D Anyway, what would be the shortest way to get up Eisenhower, Pierce and Jackson? Also, I think I'll just use one parking lot. Thanks!

These'll be my 4,5,6 four thousand footers. I'm planning on hiking in September, after my hiking buddy comes back from vacay. My previous 4000 footers were Osceola, Lincoln, and Laffeyette.

This may be a tall order for numbers 4-6 unless you are in great shape however there are lots of boilout options. If you aren't opposed to a bike spot you can do it the way I did.

Drop a bike off in the woods at the Edmunds path trailhead. Drive over to the Webster-Jackson trailhead near the highland center. go up over Jackson to pierce to eisenhower and down Edmund path to your bike. Take a fun bike ride back to your car.

The alternative is to forget the bike. Go up Jackson over piece to Eisenhower. Back to the Crawford path and a small roadwalk to your car.

This is the bike loop

Welcome to the forum. Gibba has some good ideas, as you can see.

I did the loop Gibba shows, minus the bike spot, a couple years ago. Parked at the lot on Mt. Clinton Road, walked the 2 miles up to the Edmunds Path, and closed the loop coming down Webster-Jackson, using the Saco Lake Trail to avoid most of the short roadwalk back to my car. 13 miles, 3750' elevation gain in all, so not a massive hike, but still significant, especially depending on your experience. http://mattshikes.blogspot.com/2013/10/back-to-new-england-hiking-eisenhower.html The reverse direction will avoid a very manageable, but tedious descent on the Webster-Jackson Trail.

Anyone wonder if GraniteGal is GraniteGuy in disguise? :)

I did this hike last year parking the car across the street from the Saco Lake just south of the AMC Highland Center. We went up Webster-Jackson to Mt Jackson, then across the Webster Cliff Trail to Mizpah Hut and Pierce. After Pierce we went up the Crawford Path to Eisenhower. We didn't do the Eisenhower loop, just up and back. On the way back down we followed Crawford Path down to the AMC Highland Center. The parking lot by the train station there is just about in the middle of the two trailheads. I think it worked out to be around 13 miles, but we also went out to Elephant Head and Bugle Cliff on our way up. It took us somewhere around 9 hours to do. I can't seem to find my GPS track at the moment, but if/when I do, I'll post it here for you to see.

You got me! :D After bashing the AMC 4Ks (or more specifically the Grid) for years I thought I better ask questions for another round of them under a pseudonym!
