Patton and I had it cut out for us this weekend with an Owl's head hike on Saturday and the Twins on Sunday. Check out the reports on these hikes at http://www.viewsoftheshire.com. Hope you all got to see through the clouds this weekend. Welcome to fall!

Great stories and photos! Was Lucy too young for these? Or was it just "Boys Night Out?" I loved the shot of Patton's ears straight up. Thank you for posting the "Fire Warden" start. Someday we'll be looking for that skinny little tree!

How is the camping along Haystack road? I've often wondered about these places. Probably nicer than Hotel Toyota at the Signal Ridge parking lot :).

Yeah Lucy might have had a hard time focusing during the length of the trip. Patton is far more seasoned for the miles. We plan on getting Lucy back out and training this weekend. The Picture of Patton with his ears out was a winner for sure. I love capturing his natural enjoyment for the outdoors.

Haystack rd camping was great I liked how there is a water source next to the site for cooking ect. It was also super sweet to just wake up and be there by the trailhead. Plus it is free camping so you can't go wrong there.

I too look forward to hiking the Fire Wardens trail I can't wait to do up a report on that way up Hale.

Thank you for the comments.
