That's messed up. I suppose I can see getting into an argument and storming off (although maybe not over a medical condition) but to wait, not see him and then drive home without him?! I think F&G should give them the bill.

Wow, that's all I can say. Really shameful.

Edit: there's another article on bostonglobe.com, saying that the sons waited at the bottom until 9:30 and then went to look for him. Still shameful but not quite as bad as driving home.
