 Isolation 12-21
Anyone up for some trail-breaking Saturday? This was planned for Sunday, but I'm pretty sure we're going to do it Saturday instead given Sunday's forecast (subject to change, but unlikely at this point). I can't find any recent (as in post-weekend storm) beta on if anyone has been in there, so I am assuming the worse. At least Engine Hill will be a nice trek. Those prepared for a ~6.25-mile (~12.5 mile round-trip), 3000 foot gain hike, breaking trail all the way up (we will retrace steps down of course) let me know and I'll pass on further details.

I feel obligated to point out that this hike will NOT count for the AMC 4K winter list since it will start before the winter solstice.

I believe we both predicted this would happen...

Needless to say, ignore this hike folks. It's called off on account of freezing rain/rain causing 2 feet of slush...dangerous conditions to be out in, especially considering there are some river crossings (even if most are avoidable).

It will be rescheduled for during the last 2-3 days of the year, so if you are still interested in coming out to Isolation one of those days (Dec. 29, 30, 31 with preference to the last 2 days), let me know and I'll keep you in the loop.
