 Lafayette Night Hike
I really wanted to see the supermoon from the mountains so despite the crummy forecast I attempted to see it from the summit of Lafayette. No views (at all ) but it was a fun hike! It was completely overcast, but with the light of my headlamp, the descent went really well. I'm looking forward to my Camel's Hump sunset hike this August.

Did anyone get some nice shots of the moon this weekend?

Too bad you missed the sunset, but you got some nice pics from the trip. I love the hazy shot of the hut: second-to-last shot, I believe.

It's funny, I've been up on the ridge at least a couple dozen times over the years and I've never gone up Old Bridal, only down. The last mile always seems like ti goes on forever. Does the same hold true if it's the first mile?

I'd say the first mile is longer than the middle ones. This is where my muscles are warming up. So kinda long. Somewhat painfull. But nowhere near as long as the last.
