 48 x 3 + 67 = 1 Incredible Day on Mt Carrigain - 9/29/12
On Saturday Nat and I completed a 5 year journey and finished the NH48 on Mt Carrigain. We were joined by our good friend Rex who finished both his NH48 and NE67 with us (huge congrats) and a wonderful group of friends that have shared the trails with us along the way. Thanks to everyone for making this a truly incredible day!!

Here's the whole story: http://theramblingsblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/48-x-3-67-1-incredible-day-on-mt.html

The happy finishers!

Congrats, I was wondering when you guys were going to finish up.

I HIGHLY recommend a return to Carrigain when you can get views. As I'm sure you know, they're awesome!

Congrats on the finish. Too bad about the weather but ill bet there aren't many others who have done the first 47 under blue skies. I know my first round wasn't even close.

I just had a chance to really read the report you wrote. All I can say is WOW! Kudos to Nat for toughing that one out and I'm glad it all turned out all right.

Chalk me up as one of those Carrigain finishers. Also the end of September incidentally (9-30).

I thought they were suppsoed to be doing that work on the tower the last week of August (that news was mere days before that week...)? Sounds like everything is running nicely on time in the Sawyer River valley

Congratulations to everyone. Glad to hear everything turned out okay with the head wound... Nat must be pretty tough indeed! Great report and photos, it looks like a nice little celebration you had there at the summit. Carrigain is my intended finish as well (I have two left)... I'm definitely looking forward to it!

What an amazing story! Very glad Nat's "event" ended up ok in the long run. That must have been a scary 20 minutes while everyone got the bleeding under control.

Thanks for sharing, and congrats on an the finish!

Congrats to all. Doing the "going back for views owed" hikes is always fun. :)

It was great to at least celebrate with you after the hike! It was great to meet Rex and Donna and Jimmy and everyone. What a great group of folks! Next time I'll actually make the hike part. I'd love to go back to Carrigain on a beautiful fall day. Congrats again to you and Nat and Rex.
