Has anyone hiked Tecumsah from the Tripoli Road side? If so, how was it?

It is very nice on that side but there is about 200' of elevation that has to be reclimbed on the way out. Less popular too I imagine.

I did it in 2007 this way. It is a soft under foot route which sees minimal usage. The other three trips I've made up there have been from the ski area, and two of those in winter. I want to go back via the ski area to see Jeremy & Eric's (and others?) hard work.

There have been a few TRs lately on the Tripoli Road approach, all indicating that it is still a nice approach. It definitely sees far less traffic, which tends to mean nice trailbed to walk on.

Another hiker posts the most descriptive trip reports and always posts pictures. You can see from the pictures what you are getting into. I use her blog as my "conditions" report of the Whites. She recently hiked the path you are targeting. Enjoy.
