Joe insisted I post this immediately. I'll get a report up at some point, but for now, spoiler alert: photos from today's Squam Range traverse.

From Mt. Livermore

From (general vicinity of) Squam

From Doubleheads

The foliage in this area is about 50% or so, though it seemed to be much better on the West end than on the east end of the ridge.

Always amazing photo's Joe!

We were stuck on the Kanc on Saturday after a quick hike in Benton. Need to set myself a reminder to not head to Lincoln on Columbus Day weekends! Wow was it tough to get around

Couple more random. Took over 800 pics in 4 days. The foliage was overwhelming this year.

Awesome pics so far. I finally have some to share. You did say you want tons of them, right?? 8) My camera has been on the fritz since halfway through hedgehog. The screen doesn't work so I just have to shoot manual and hope for the best until I can pick up a new one. :( On the plus side it's like having an old film camera and really fun/exciting to see them later not having a clue how they came out until they are uploaded.

Mt. Hedgehog?

Funny, Table Mountain was my plan B the day I did Hedgehog last week, along with a loop around Falls Pond. If the weather is decent I'll be going there Thursday.

GG you should go on Thursday. We went last year around this time. Gorgeous! Wear your orange; we heard gun shots quite frequently.

Mt. Hedgehog?

Are you asking about the hike or what's in the photo? The hike was Table Mtn. The mountain in the photo is Bear. Wanted to do Hedgehog this day but it was raining. After stopping at every overlook on the Kanc. and Bear Notch Rd. it looked like it might be clearing. Started raining steady 10 minutes into the hike and didn't stop until we were done. But after what we'd seen  , I wanted nothing to do with the Kanc. for the rest of our time up there. Which took Hedgehog off the Table. Hey, I made a funny. 8)

And yes, tons. :D

 Re: Foliage. 2016 Edition
Well this is why I suck at the guessing games! :D I can easily make that mountain (in my mind) in the picture out to be Hedgehog with the east ledges on the left below the summit and the smaller ledge being Allens Ledge and Whiteface or Passaconaway or something beyond it. :?

I thought this was cool, satellite imagery (from yesterday I think) clearly shows the color up north

Very nice G-to-the-2nd.
LOVE the 2nd Adirondack one and the contrast of the dead standing.
Well done
