 The list round 6
And we have:

Morgan - Percival
Nancy
Norcross Pond
Nubble
Oscar
Parker (Bartlett)
Pawtuckaway, South
Percy, North
Pine Mountain
Piper

In general I can't see any I would disagree with on this list. Nancy is so-so, being it has a pretty limited view, but a decent one at that. So it probably will get a yes from me. All the others a good to go for me. If anyone needs a reminder on Oscar I can dig up the pictures. I think everything else is probably familiar enough to everyone to not need photo evidence. But if so speak up and I am sure someone can fill the request.

Nancy is directional/so-so, but man that hike has everything, with the cascades and ponds and Norcross outlook and then the semi-herd path. Really, Nancy and Norcross ought to be combined, but people will combine them anyway, and it's a shame to go to the pond and not hit Nancy too, so I'm down with those.

I don't think I can up-vote Pawtuckaway. It's not the fire tower, that's fine, but although it's the best thing around I just don't think it's a very interesting view.

The others (that I've visited) I think are all winners.

I assume this is Pine Mountain near Gorham?

Other than that, I'd combine Norcross and Nancy but everything else looks good.

Ahhh, that's right. I forgot that you really need the tower for the views, and so it unfortunately falls automatically in my no category.

Kris, yes that would be Pine in Gorham (or I am assuming as much since I wasn't the original person who nominated it).

I could personally drop Nancy and not blink twice, but Norcross would always get my vote. Combining them would be a good option, but I would be inclined to just say dump Nancy. Hmmm, decisions decision. :D

It's a yes for me! (For all of 'em.)

As for Pawtuckaway South's view: The view is a LOT better if you know what's visible  .

You can actually get a decent view from the ground for south Pawtuckaway...

But it is much improved from the tower...

Maybe I'm just a sucker for my local spot, but I think Pawtuckaway's view is better than Piper, provided you're a tower kind of guy. Views to the ocean, Monadnock, the Belknaps, the rest of the volcano, Uncs and more. Great look around southern NH IMO. I am a yes on both however, and all the rest. I'd actually prefer Rocky Ridge as the parks representative view, but didn't think a quasi-bushwhack was in the spirit of the list.

I'll vote them all I guess. I'm on the fence about S. Pawtuckaway, but the rest are pretty straight-forward in my book.

Side note, we've had just mountains or well-known viewpoints so far. A pond is a new one. I could vote for a lot of ponds! But yes, that view from the outlet over the Pemi stands out strongly, no argument. You effectively have to visit the Norcross outlet to go to Nancy (it's like 20 feet away), so I wouldn't be opposed to combining them. (Yes I realize some crazy people bushwhack Nancy from the Bemis area. Those are some good horror story reading iirc :) )

Hmm, you make an interesting point Matt. I vote that in order for the "pond hike" to count you must stand in the middle of the pond

I know someone that dragged a packraft up to Unknown Pond recently, so I guess he can check that off the "paddle in hiking-accessible ponds" list :)

Add Avalanche Lake to the paddling views list. 4-5 miles from anywhere in the Daks but there's a nice little rowboat there.
