Guess they announced it early this year. Flags this year is on September 11, and sign-ups are on August 8th at 6 PM. I know I'm the first to announce this year's Flags, but... after last year, though, someone else should get us a peak  .

Since this was mentioned a few days ago on one of the FB hiking pages I expect this year's event to be a circus. Yet, in the spirit in which this event was started, I hope to continue contributing in my way by getting a peak for my team.

Again, I hope to see fellow Hike-NH-ers on their peak, but regardless I wish you well and send positive vibes for good weather, healthy and energetic hikers and a humble representation of all that we stand for here on this forum.

It has come up in years past too on those groups. Though I have left most of them, too much circus ;)

I plan to attend as well. Hoorray for Sunday, means a few more people might be able to come this year!

Presently, I am unsure where my crew of misfits will be heading. Perhaps a tandem peak with the hike-Nh group??? Brian did not like my choice last year so maybe I'll let him decide.

Know anyone who could make that happen? I vote for the Tripyramids via the slides.

Hope it doesn't rain, or it will be like Flume in 2013 (which, by the way, fell on a Sunday, so we could go!).

I should really write a TR from that hike last month... the slide is actually really nice. The trail above the slide in the woods is insanely steep, and a bushwhack for short stretches.

Soooo... signups are next Monday (August 8th). When the heck did we reach the end of July? Isn't it still like February?

Anyway, unless someone else wants to, I should be able to take care of this. Any requests to lean towards if available? Or any nays? I'm assuming no Lincoln Woods trail again :D

No big preferences here. wooded humps and the Linwood's "trail" are off my list. I believe Kris doesn't want a 16 mile hike. IIRC people want out of the pemi.

I'm down for anything, but my top picks would have to be Jackson, Moosilauke, Moriah, and Cabot.

 Re: FOT48 2016
If we still considering a tandem peak with SilentCal (I'm all for it) I wouldn't mind Passaconaway/Whiteface or the Tripyramids. If not I'd still like Passaconaway or maybe Field with a stop by Avalon, or East Osceola (being selfish, but my views were socked in on those :) ). Cabot I guess if the group does, although the longer drive to that one would make for a long day and less of an after party, especially considering it's a Sunday.

You are correct, sir. 8)

Whiteface/Passaconaway are not really "tandem" peaks given that they are separated by more than 2 miles (just wanted to point that out). Osceolas or Tripyramids would be good, ditto for Willey Range.
