Drove up to the Huntington Ravine trail-head on the auto-road and did a loop over and around George,
including the Garden. The Lapland Rosebay and Diapensia were everywhere.
There was one spot in the Garden it took your breathe away. No picture to do it justice.
Heck, this is right in front of where we parked. Happy Birthday to me. :D

I don't think any of the photos count since we drove up. 8)

ALL of the photos count.

And, yes. Happy Birthday to you. 8)

Two years ago I went up to the Alpine Garden every weekend in June and still managed to miss the flower boat.

This year my plan was for next weekend. Alas. Well, there's always next year.

2 years ago we did it on the 21st. But the same year we saw the Lapland Rosebay and Diapensia
in bloom on Ike on the 7th. So I figured we might get lucky yesterday. But I'm not sure you
can say you missed it. You just may have missed those 2 which might be the most abundant.
But I saw this on July 27th '13 in the Garden and it was fairly wide spread. Mountain Avens and
Harebell I think.
