 NHHS v.16.2 Worcester Range Vermont
Hike 2 of the New Hampshire Hikes Series is now open! :D

Date: Saturday 5/21/16
Place: Worcester Range, Vermont (Middlesex and Worcester VT)

The Worcester Range has been on my hit list for a while now. Greg, Desi and I visited Hunger a few years ago and it made in impression. I have been looking for a reason to head back, and perhaps this is it! The Worcester Range offers several summits with great views. Doing the whole range may be a bit ambitious (in the link I post below it is said to approach a Bonds traverse in difficulty), but due to side access trails we could make this longer or shorter as we desire.

This is a good weather only hike. With the great potential for views on this hike it would be a waste to miss the views, plus a lot of ledges could pose problems in wet weather.

link to report on range hike

This sounds like a great hike. I know Hunger and Stowe Pinnacle are both great spots. I'd love to do this one myself but am still tied up with other obligations for a few more weeks. If you don't get other/enough takers for a car spot or whatever and need to put it off I'm definitely interested. Just can't go this day.

Yeah, as almost always I'm out for Saturdays (and most days, at the moment), but I took a "dessert hike" to Stowe Pinnacle after hitting Mansfield last year, and absolutely it more than repaid the effort. So I'm just here to encourage anybody who's like "well where's that, what's that place worth?" that it's going to be a great hike, you'll have an awesome time, and you should totally go.

So there.

This one will absolutely require company, so if I wind up solo this weekend (as it appears it may be) this hike will get shuffled back into the to-do list for a more convenient later date, especially since I know the interest may be high. 8)
