 The Toughest One Ever! ;-)
We'll see how long, if any, there's interest in this one. After hiking Sunday in the
extreme cold but obvious lack of snow, I went looking for a nice winter scene and
came up with this. Definitely not my best picture with a lot of snow but this spot is
named on the AMC Guide Maps.

So the million dollar question is, where is this? 8) If you were with me this day,
please refrain from guessing or hinting. Thanks

In the woods.

Anywhere. In the woods.

What's next, JoeJoe, you gonna take a picture of rock about 1' wide and have us guess? :P

I'm going to go with somewhere in the Ansel Adams wilderness.

Actually, that looks a little like the Drakes Brook crossing when it's iced over.

Yikes! Getting old and crotchety and your Hike-NH retirement years?! :D I'll say Great Notch Trail in Acadia, since you never said which of the half-dozen or so AMC map and guides it's in. 8)

I said it was named, and would be difficult. Aren't you paying attention? 8)

The name is not a brook, stream, river, trail, peak, or outlook. It has one of these marking it's spot on the map, along with the name.

Damn, I knew saying all it wasn't, and the symbol was too much of a hint. At the time I didn't think it was. Was Hoping to keep this going form at least day.

Only red-liners or bushwhackers will probably ever go there.

Time to look for another.
