 Introduction
Hi all,

I've been lurking here for around a year or so and finally decided to join up. I live in Maine (from FL originally) but try to make it to the Whites as often as I can. I'm not a very experienced hiker, the Caribou Mountain loop in Evans Notch is my most challenging hike to date, but my goal is to slowly work my way up to completing the NH48. Thanks for the wonderful resource this forum provides!

 Re: Introduction
I said it elsewhere but welcome to the forum.

The 48 is a nice goal with a lot of great trails and peaks, and I always enjoy reading people first impressions, but don't get too wrapped up in them too fast. There's better, more interesting hiking to be had than on about half of them.

I'm sure you know this already, but you'll find just about everything from this group! The list is a fun challenge, but there is a lot more, so don't limit yourself. Welcome aboard.

Welcome to the forum! The 48 is a great way to get into hiking in the Whites, and is fun too! Like others have said, though, don't miss out on some of the other gems. Either way, hike your own hike! There is no right or wrong way to do a hike, despite what some people may say

True, but often there's a better and best way
