Any one have any idea where the snow line is starting in the Franconia notch area?? I'm taking a friend on an overnight for a story he's writing and I'd like to hit the Liberty Springs site, but if it's snowed over....well it's out.

Hi Tim,

I was on Tecumseh last Wednesday and could see that the summits and the ridge were all snow capped.
I am not sure of the depth and I was looking at their eastern slopes, but would still imagine that there is some snow/ice pack.

One idea is to check with Cannon Mountain (the ski slopes on the adjacent ridge) to see 1. If they have snow 2. to see if they have a web cam that scans the area.
It might give you a better idea because at this point the weather can change by the hour.
Good Luck!
