 New to Forum :)
Hello! My name is Michelle and I am new to this forum. I have always enjoyed hiking, and have not actually had the time nor chance to make this area a priority in my life.

As new beginnings have approached my life recently, I am going to take a leap and am looking for a hiking partner to, perhaps show me the ropes this summer. I absolutely love nature and all it has to offer, the smell, the peace and the therapeutic regard in which it enhances us all with.

My schedule consists of busy week days, but would like to try and dedicate a time during the weekends for this. I am easy-going, cheerful and full of life! Would love to meet someone with the same personality as well as learn new things!!

Hi Michele, Welcome to the forum! Once of the best things about this one is the variety you'll get. Lots of different interests, levels of experience, and speed (i'm the slowest  ).

Welcome Michelle!

Good luck in your transition! You're in a great place to take up more hiking and experience those sounds, smells, and therapeutic energy.

See you on the trails!

Hi Michelle --

Welcome!

I can't be your hiking partner, but welcome to the forum. People are nice here, so if indeed you're easy-going, cheerful, and full of life, I'm sure you'll find at the very least good info and discussion.

Very funny. :? I do always have an answer. It may not be the right answer, but it's an answer.

And welcome. Good luck with the partner search. There are a few people here who hike with random groups who might steer you in the right direction for that.

Join a hiking group, meetup , AMC hike or hiking club. Newbies get off to a great start this way. It also is a safe way of sizing up people you might want to do a spin-off hike or threw.

Welcome to the only site worth considering.

Just hike. You will have plenty of company on most trails if you time your departures properly. Seems 9 am starts are popular. You will have the "comfort" of others on the trail but still be able to hike your own hike.

Of course, finding a trustworthy, loyal, capable hiking friend or two can make the hikes more enjoyable. on that, IDK what to tell ya.....the meetup groups is a good way. Or - check out the AMC hikes and time your hikes to be tagging along.
