 Hiking Presentation for Kids
Hi Everyone,
I am overseeing the New Durham Parks & Recreation summer day camp. Our overall theme is "Life in New Hampshire" and our second week we are focusing on "Summer Safety". That week we'll be talking about all kinds of summer safety including hiking/time in the woods. We'll have a field trip to Mount Major that Friday. I wanted to see if anyone knows of a hiking "expert" who might be willing to come in and speak to the kids a little about the fun of hiking and also safety factors. The safety week is June 29-July 3. Our time slots for speakers/presenters are 10AM-11:30AM on Tuesday June 30 and Thursday July 2 (though we can be flexible). I will be providing some information to the kids and doing some related activities, but having an outside speaker always helps break up the day and add more to the conversation.

Would love your thoughts and insights!
Thanks!
Nichole

There is a trailhead stewards program now in the White Mountains. They educate people at trailheads and might be able to send someone to help. The organizer's contact info is:
