Joe: Yes, that blaze does make your a$$ look fat!

Perhaps, there is one creature that combs the Whites that has yet to be mentioned. I strange looking animal, elusive yet flamboyant. An animal so bizarre and shocking, yet is quite kind and generous to thru hikers:

Nice pictures and thanks. Forgot about BUGS. This is probably one of the creepier ones I've seen.

I swear on my 4th cousin 5 times removed life (or is it 5th cousin 4 times removed??) that thing is real. No idea what it is however. Here's another picture from the top. It tried to climb into my rum and coke in Acadia this summer. Fortunately I stopped it or I might have been hallucinating the entire trip!

Image

Next time you're up that way just set out the bait and wait a few minutes. Different stuff up there. The giant slug is from there too. The thing was like 4 inches long. And if it doesn't show up just drink the bait. Win-win situation! :D

The proper bait for marshmallowpeeperfly's

Well I'll be! After reading the description maybe it wasn't the Captain he was going for afterall. If they like blacklights maybe they were after our girls pink nightlight....or the neighbors chistmas lights....or the next neighbors lights. Not actually a blacklight, but similar I guess. I'll have to bring an actual blacklight this year and see if I can attract some more.

Scooter, it took me a minute, but I finally located the snake in your AT pic...

Granite Guy, that is a great photo of that moth. Great colors.

Awesome photos, everyone.
