OK a new batch of info has gone up. It covers the added info from 4 coutnies. Jim is going on a long vacation soon, so it may be a while until the rest of the info gets added in. But I will work at getting another batch of info (probably only one county though because now I am getting into the coutnies with large amounts of info). I will also continue working through while Jim is away so he can add the last of the info when he gets back home.

I also do notice some code errors that need fixing. For right now I will save fixing those until after all the info goes up only because I think it might take a little tweaking to figure out what is wrong (not easy to do when you are instruction someone else to do it through emails  )

What the hell are these coutnies you speak of? I can't find any info on them at all.

Alright, Jim has managed to finish up all the updates I sent along, so we are going to fix a couple mistakes in the code and/or links. Then he is going to pull out all the excess spacing (which appears to have somehow worked it's way in there from the copy and paste routine we were doing via email). So that will shrink everything closer together and make it more easy to look at. :D With these last updates that finishes of the bulk info Walrus sent along that pretty much doubled what we already had. But again, I doubt this currently a completed project, even if you exclude the "-INFO NEEDED-" stuff. So keep an eye out and if you see something out there we missed, even if all you have to go on is knowledge of it's existence only, then speak up and we can add it.

Thanks again everyone, and by all means, if you visit a place post a trip report! 8)

Brian

This is fantastic. Thank you to all who have had a part in creating this, I also echo the "so much that I never knew existed" sentiment.

(And, once again, sadly not at all surprised to see that there's awesome stuff ALL OVER. . . except in my own town.)

Re: The New Hampshire Trails Project posting thread
I've been hiking in NH and compiling data for 15 years. I'd like to offer my website as a source you can link to for more details on any individual hike. You have my unlimited permission to link all you wish.

For instance, you have Massabesic Audubon Center listed. You could add this link: http://www.nhmountainhiking.com/massabesic.html to offer visitors more info, including photos, text, directions and further links.

Also Massabesic has changed their Web structure to invalidate your link. I wish they wouldn't do that! I try really hard to keep the links current on my website (and, yes, Massabesic is up to date); and I try even harder to keep all links to my website valid!

Fred Shirley

p.s. I am looking for new local hikes myself, which is how I came upon your website. Thank you for your work; I hope to use it creatively to visit new-to-me places.

Welcome to Hike-NH, Fred! I love your website- I use it for almost all of my hikes, and it's one of the best resources for hiking in NH and NE IMHO.
