It was a couple weeks ago - in fact, it was April 1st weekend. Fun to run into Silentcal recovering from the Fools Ball at LL hut. HA HA. He was doin' ok - he recognized me so that was nice to chat.
Not much of a tr - took the hi-cannon and followed the track from the day before - which went off route but still came out at the jct with the Dodge Cut-off so it worked out ok. Great to get out and enjoy the day - even with the trail breaking/leveling out. All of this is most likely moot at this point, but the pics are pretty.
Uhm, we park WHERE?
Even the logs and rocks in the streams were pretty
So we took the path less travelled - my usual M.O.
Still on-trail at this point...
Crossed the lake - wonder how long that was a safe route
We didn't stay long at the hut - not really my thing to get out in the woods - even to the hut - and have so much noise and chatter going on. We had a quick snack and headed out. Crossed the lake again on our retreat and made it down in pretty quick time. Back by the lot:
I've been fighting some kinda serious arthritis and basic wear and tear issues - right knee is trashed, left foot pretty close to trashed. Sigh. BUT hoping a few changes will make the difference. HA! Loose rock, muddy trails, wet roots....we'll see how I fare with that sh*t. But it's all good.
Peace out hiking scouts!!

Good thing you crossed that lake when you did! After today's temps, you could probably swim instead! Nice to see a report up and see you're doing stuff. What do you have? Osteo or rheumatoid? Your description of "wear and tear" suggests the former. Take care!
