My plan C for the day. Plan A was Wildcat D, Plan B was Moriah. Just to give you some geographical clues. Not a 4K (either peak) and on our list.

Brian. NO! :P

On the approach.

From the 2nd peak, looking back to the first, which was under 2 miles from trail head.

Almost to the full vftt of the 2nd peak. INCREDIBLE!

I'd have to guess Pine Mountain... that path to the ledge looks familiar to me (almost like Willard) but I haven't been to Pine before.

Nope. And I know. Whazzup with that??

I was on either Mt. Martha or Cherry, depending on your mood I guess. And the jackpot for views was from Owl's Head. Oh. My. Word! What incredible views!

OK. I'm sure this has been discussed. But. Two things. Last I checked the American mile is just a little bit longer than .8 AND shouldn't that arrow be pointed down??

So, friends, I tip my hat in thanks to you for the list that has been created herein. I had fun on this hike, even though it kicked my a**. :D I can't wait to go back. I think this would be an awesome winter trek.

Ahh, yes. I've only done Mt. Martha (the big peak) in winter but I have two prints on my walls from that hike, fantastic views. Great photos from you as well, I'm jealous of all these great foliage pics. My rough year continues, I came down with a "bout of gout" a couple weeks ago and I'm still a bit hobbled from it. At this point I may need to just take a nice long break for a few months and then try to ease back into things. It sucks but I appreciate all these reports... keeps me itching to get back out there.
