Just a quick write up on this one. I decided to finally check this hike out Saturday.
I'd always planned on hitting this one when I'd be spending a few days up north.
As a on the way thing. But after years of blowing it off, I said the hell with it.
Did the 4.25 hour RT drive, for the 5 mile RT hike. Pretty decent hike. It would
have more enjoyable if it were not 100 degrees.  OK, high 80's. 8)
But it was hot as hell in the woods. Nice cooling breeze while up on the tower though.

I ascended via the Eagle Cliff Trail, but decided to skip some elevation gain (HOT!),
by taking the Teedie Trail back to the road. This gave me just a short road walk
back to the car.

I'll give a 7 out of 10 for tower views. Pretty nice.

When Greg and I did Red Hill we skipped Eagle Cliff, but only just barely (was the end of a long day, you know how it goes with us :D ) But looks like the cliff is not too shabby. I am going to have to redline it some day regardless, but I will be sure to wait for a nicer day. 8)

Ooooooooooh! Beautiful lake shots. Nice contrast with all those clouds.

The hike itself looks nice. The pics look great. You've really nailed the settings now on that camera. A few of those I feel like I'm actually there for the colors and contrast are so well done on. Nicely done.

Eagle Cliff was OK, but I was under the impression it was more open. Saw pics that suggested that on old HikeNH'r, Escapes blog. Plus, no eagles.
