Re: Mount Eisenhower 2-28
Eisenhower is definitely better in the winter, then again, they all are. And yeah, wow, what a day indeed. Would have been a shame to waste in on the Carters. Looks like the last two Saturdays have been like that. Of course, I got to hike on the Sundays that were similar to each other also, and nothing like the Saturdays. Made the most of it, but I never get days like that, and I mean NEVER!!

Re: Mount Eisenhower 2-28
Nice pics - definitely NOT what I encountered today. Not drastic conditions, but not bluebird skies either. Opted out of Ike and enjoyed the day on Pierce. The only thing that would've made today better is if Mike were with me. AND he could most definitely keep up with me!

Re: Mount Eisenhower 2-28
Quote: so we can get to the Crawford Path which we would take up rather than doing the road walk and seeing if Edmunds Path was/is broken out to the summit of Mount Eisenhower. A couple folks I know tried to go to Eisenhower via Edmands (Edmunds? I always confuse them) that same day. It wasn't broken out, and the 2 of them only got to about 1/2-mile from the ridge junction, and still barely got out with sunlight left. I'm still kicking myself for missing a Presi Day, but that forecast changed significantly overnight Friday night! By the way, love the new blog name

Re: Mount Eisenhower 2-28
Dunno, i think i read a report that someone came up that same day. I just didn't want to hike down off eisenhower just to find out one way or another.
Thanks. I dont mind making fun of myself.
