 Too early for Christmas Specials......
I've gotten used to the Christmas commercials starting just after Halloween, and I've come to accept the malls being completely decorated around Veterans' Day. I don't like it, but I know I can't fight it. However, this, this is where I draw the line!

I saw today that the animated Christmas special "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" will be aired tomorrow night--two days before Thanksgiving. While I'm a big fan of the show (that and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" are my favorites), I won't be watching, just on principle.

Sincerely,

Ebenezer

Bah humbug! :D

I'm not a big fan of the commercialization of Christmas in the first place myself. Linus had it right and I think the Black Friday thing is insane but in their defense Thanksgiving is as late as it could possibly be this year and I wonder if they just have their lineup of programs to put out there and sell commercial time for and it takes 28 days or whatever to show them all. So I hear ya, but if my choices are let the kids see Rudolph 2 days before Thanksgiving or they have to cut something from the lineup and there's no Frosty or Its a Wonderful life or whatever let them start early. It better than the regular crap they usually have on that I don't watch anyways.

I love the holidays! The music, the food, the lights, the drinks, tons of happy kids! I say bring it on!

Extra fat and booze, please!
