 Union Leader Forest Journal (Hike-NH)
New Hampshire's Union Leader has a bi-weekly column, "Forest Journal," which is written by members of the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire's Forests. Today's column is all about online resources for outdoorsy parents.

I knew they were writing of my blog, but a whole paragraph about Hike-NH.com made its way in. Hopefully it generates some new parent-users to the forum.

In fact, if you made it here because of that column - welcome! We love talking kid-friendly trips! :D

And nice to see stories (in the NH Papers) about hikers that aren't centered around, getting lost, hurt, etc. Or getting that way because they were under prepared :)!

I agree good to see the press for yourself and the place. Hopefully it leads to more kids getting out there and interested in the outdoors. That is definitely one thing I really like about this place myselfn its got the big epic trips too but its not all about that, plenty of love for the little places too and not just the super-hikers showing off how many 4ks they can crush. The love for out of the way places, 52wav, ossipees, preserves etc is what keep me interested and checking in. Talking about only nh4ks would make my eyes glaze over and drive me away. Fortunately there's a great mix of everything around here.
