This is an off-topic subject. Has anybody gone to the Moose Festival in Colebrook/Pittsburg? It's August 25, 26 & 27 2006. Just wondering if anybody has been to it and if it's fun. My brother said it's for Flat Landers. I'm from Candia so I guess that's me.
Thanks for any info you can give me!

Yes, I've been there a few times. Good for a experiencing a different way of life. Take in the fireworks if they have them at nigh, the parade, and the antique, classic and muscle car show. Maybe they'll have a live concert, too. It's their end of summer bash!
There's some great eats and a generious with veggies Subway in Colebrook. Catch the beautiful Beaver Brook S.P. and waterfalls while you are in the area, you'll be delighted (unless it's been very dry). Stewartstown/Pittsburg is a charming rural America town. While there visit all the Conn Lakes, Lake Francis S.P., Mt Magalloway and the waterfall near it.
There will be a lot of people participating in the events in these towns. More than one would imagine. Maybe even a drive into Canada, as you are nearby. Rte 26 through Dixville Notch with lots of hikes and its mtns to Umbagog Lake (head waters of the Androscoggin R.) and S.P. is well worth the visit to see rural America.
My opinion is it is an educational experience to visit the North Country. That's why I moved here 22 years ago and made it my home. Enjoy!
p.s. that's 'flatlanders'. I used to be one, I'm told.

Good to see "New Hampshire" is still on the boards. I was afraid they were going to have to give that name to someone else!

You can give the Salty name to just about anyone but NewHampshire is saved permanently, although im sure Silentcal might want to give it away regardless.

Nice to see you're still around Greg. Hi.
I have to disagree about the Salty comment. He is one-of-a-kind. Which may be construed as a weird comment coming from me. I never met him in person but his online persona was larger than life...to me...back in the day. Just sayin'

I float around here and there but usually avoid the forums
Hardcore Jobobrity is dead though, so no more super cool trip reports!
