 And another thing...
What's the deal with people who take a number at the deli and then miss it when it's called? 2 or 3 or 4 #s later (inexplicably it always seems to be when mine is called) they reappear and say "Oh, even though you just called 39 I'm #34" and barge in w/their order.

DRIVES ME NUTS!!!!

Don't get me wrong. I often grab a # and go off to gather other items. But if I get back and it's past my #, I just get another.

I'm not passing myself off as a saint or the sacred shopper or anything but JHC! WTH?!

These people make complete self-sustenance look better and better.

My wife works in a deli and that's one of her pet peeves. She has told me that the record for a late number was 26 numbers off.

Is it me or are grocery stores getting really nerve wracking. I try to go during off peak times. Very early in the morning works for me

Yea...don't go mid-day on Saturday. I've started going at 3ish on Saturdays and it is usually pretty good, same for after work (5:30ish) surprisingly :?:

Kathy, I'm with you, if you missed your call, too bad, get back in line. I've had them skip my number before, that is of course a different issue...

I'm with those that say T.S. and get a new number! I like that my local Stop & Shop has the kiosk you can place your order in and they'll just page you when it's ready. No more lines for me thank god!

Speaking of lines, the one that gets me more than that is the 12 items or less lanes when people have way more than twelve items. I'm always tempted to ask if they failed second grade math but thus far have bit my tounge. One of these days I know I'm going to be in a bad mood and blurt it out though.

3 MORE DAYS BABY ~ 3 MORE DAYS!

Not summer vacation but a week away from school. I'll take it! Rainy weather and all.

Before I worked in public education I was one of "those" people who wondered at the teachers getting "so much" time off. HA HA. Didn't take long for me to completely changed my tune on that song!
