Definitely inspiring. I know some people that have hiked with him and he sounds like a pretty amazing guy.

I hope he catches a break in the weather so he can finish! My W48 finish seems pretty insignificant compared to his achievement.

Interestingly, a few weeks ago we passed a pair of guys - one seemed to be vision impaired, as the other was wearing a cowbell and directing some of his foot placements on steep sections. At first I thought it was Randy but without his guidedog for the day. Then I found out he had hiked a different mountain. So turns out he's not the only one! It was definitely humbling and reminded me that despite knee and back problems, I still have a whole lot to be thankful for.

Good luck to Randy! A tremendous accomplishment for sure!

The article implies he has 7 left but is finishing on Cannon Saturday. Wonder what he's got to do before then? Hopefully not Presis ;)

It's great to see these type stories. People with these physical challenges that don't allow themselves to be a prisoner to their handicaps. I see it all the time at Loon which has one of the largest disabled programs in N.E. Which includes, blind skiers. My hats off to these people. :)

Very cool. I've seen some of his progress on Chris Dailey's blog. I know that he at least did Monroe-Pierce with Chris so he doesn't have a full Presi Traverse left. You have to admire people who don't let handicaps hold them back. Best of luck with finishing this up.

I bailed on this hike today. Wish I knew it was happening.

There's always another day...winds are borderline today imo (esp. with the cold temps). They seem to be tapering off some which at least helps a little.

I'm watching as well. I'm trying to see if I can catch him in the MWOBS web-cam.

Looks like he's heading down the Ammo now. That's a lot of hiking for one day, and 4 of the toughest peaks in the East! Congrats!!!
