Looks like it's also going to be a cold weekend. A cursory search on NOAA over the Osceolas gives a high of 0 on both Saturday and Sunday (@ 3400 ft). Time to pack the hand warmers!

yee haw! I'll take the snow and the cold that goes with it if it means easier crampon climbing. My feet were tired after last weeks' outing. I'll have to dust off the snow shoes finally too! Yay

Well at least this storm is doing what it's suppose to. Raining down here in Mass and snowing in NH. :P Particularly, the mountains. :) And more specific, the ski slopes. :D

+1

See this storm I can live with. Rain here where I live (just like for you Joe), snow up North just a few hours away if I want it :D (note: not a skier/boarder, though thinking of picking up snow shoes and doing some tramping around).

Sorry for those of you that live where the snow is falling and don't want it, but I'm thinking that isn't most of you.

Well, I am probably in the minority, but I love it when it snows where I live(Southwestern?? Maine) as well as in the mountains.
I have been missing the snow so I am estatic that it's falling today. And for the icing on the cake, today is my day off so I don't even have to drive in it. SOrry for everyon who does have to drive today. :(

If anyone is looking to go for a hike tomorrow, might I recommend the Osceolas? I'll give you a chocolate bar if you break trail for our hike on Saturday ;)

4.3 here in North Conway. The wind is blowing it everywhere. But it seems to be stopping. Another inch or so over the next 36 hours. I wonder what the mountains got. Cant see them, looks like a prairie. Snow shoe season is upon us!

Happy Trials
Heather

Long range forecast is calling for more snow and staying sub-freezing in the towns around the White Mountains over the next week. Looks good for snow shoes!

So psyched for the snow!! Won't be able to go snowshoeing until the W.E., but it sounds like it will stick around due to the cold temps.
I am heading to Berlin for my son's hockey game. Perhaps I can ditch the game and find a spot close by to try out the NEW snowshoes. Any suggestions? :)
Happy snowshoeing or skiing everyone!

Try Mt. Jasper near the High School (not far from the hockey arena) it is a quickie hike with views!
